  The Institute for Economic Development will provide an Emergency Planning Training Program targeted to specific types of emergencies small businesses, including the health care industry are likely to experience throughout its geographically diverse South-West Texas Border SBDC Network service area. The Program will consist of developing training and resource materials appropriate to each area, recruiting small business owner/manager trainees, conducting and evaluating training and providing follow up to determine the effectiveness of the training.
• ASM102 Training for Landscaping and Horticultural Services

  This training is for managers and employees of landscaping and horticultural services. The landscaping industry as a whole is regularly faced with difficult situations that deal with workplace safety and health hazards. With the needs of smaller businesses in mind, this training program contains thirteen fairly short, multimedia lessons. Each lesson contains visual information to demonstrate the correct and incorrect ways of accomplishing tasks using tools of the industry. Narrated lessons enhance comprehension of a wide range of learning levels.
